25 years Anniversary.
2009 is the 25th Anniversary of the forming of Withernsea Town Council.. Previously a Parish Council from 1983 to 1986 when the Council opted to become a Town Council, with Edna Harknett MBE being the first Town Mayor. Twenty five years on Councillor Keith Hardcastle is the longest serving Councillor and the only member now left from the former Parish Council.
